Key Highlights from 2024
- Importance of Certification: The CPH certification has become a cornerstone in recognizing the expertise of public health professionals. It ensures that practitioners possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding to protect and promote public well-being.
- NBPHE Projects: This year, we have seen remarkable progress in our projects, including the development of the Certified in Disease Intervention (CDI) certification, set to launch at the end of 2025. Our efforts in job task analysis for various public health roles have provided valuable insights that will shape future training and certification programs.
- Publications and Outreach: Our Publications and Research Committee has been active in analyzing data and publishing findings that inform the public health community. Notably, our study on the criticality and frequency of tasks in public health practice was published in the prestigious Journal of Public Health Management & Practice.
- Partnerships: We have formalized and expanded our partnerships with public health organizations, health departments, and academic institutions. These collaborations are crucial in increasing access to certification and enhancing the impact of our work.
- Digital Engagement: Our online presence has grown significantly, with increased followers on LinkedIn and Facebook, and a successful launch of our new website and application platform. Our Webinar Wednesdays series has been a hit, providing valuable learning opportunities for CPH-certified professionals.
